2013 Citroën DS5 Hybrid4

The Citroën DS5 has been, along with the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 Peugeot 508 Hybrid4 and one of the first cars in the world to mount a diesel-electric hybrid system. Most hybrids combine their electric motors with gasoline engines. The fact mount a particularly efficient diesel engine makes this hybrid, to spend even a little less.

The Citroën DS5 Hybrid4, the electric motor is accompanied by an HDi diesel engine of 2 liters. Together they give maximum power 200 hp with an average consumption of 4.1 l/100 official (in the version equipped, which you can see in the pictures), which I already move in reality is a little higher, but anyway , outstanding.

The Hybrid4 system is the best quality of a car is also a benchmark in design. Its silhouette coupe with rear break, an original combination that mixes different styles and that makes it very different from other sedans. Believe it or not, is a compact car (4.5 meters long) but that does not stop providing good habitability, with its 5-door body. Only his trunk is something right, something that usually happens in most hybrids due to the presence of the batteries.

The Hybrid4 is the most expensive version of the DS5 range, but also the one that offers the best performance / consumption. For example, the equivalent in gasoline costs about 6,000 euros less, but offers similar benefits spending 2 liters per 100 kilometers, while the 163 hp diesel out 5,000 euros cheaper but remains below potential and spends little more. Therefore, this hybrid seems a good choice for those with a slightly higher budget, looking for even more edgy DS5, ecological, low maintenance and driving experience something different.

With him we rode by city, for all types of roads and even has a few laps to Terramar (Barcelona), one of the few that remain oval circuits in the world. The contrast has been fantastic. Imagine rolling down a circuit in 1923, kept as is, with one of the cars of series most technologically advanced on the market. These are some of the feelings that aired during the days he was at our disposal.
