2014 Mercedes SLS AMG Coupé Black Series



It is the most extreme version of the performance, a GT3 road: the power to weight ratio is 2.45 kg per horsepower
Inspired by the GT3 racing version of the Mercedes SLS AMG Coupé Black Series is equipped with 6.3-liter V8 engine 631-horsepower 464 kW at 7,400 rpm expressed, allowing the German sedan and a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 "6 and a top speed electronically limited to 315 kh / h.

Compared to the standard version, the power increase is 60 horses and the weight, the effect of lightening general obtained with the use of material such as carbon fiber, is lower by about seventy kg, amounting to 1,550 kg. The relationship between the weight and power is an absolutely "Racers": 2.45 kg / hp.

The model represents the transfer of experience in road racing, where in 2012 the SLS GT3 has won several international hits. The performance is supported by a braking system with ceramic brake discs - diameter 402 mm front, 360 rear - and adequate suspension, virtually identical to those used on specimens from the competition: the electronic device "Ride control" that, thanks to sensors, adjusts the trim chosen in function of the information collected, such as the steering angle and lateral acceleration.
